Meet Our Team
Margaret Sumner
Office Manager
My name is Margaret Sumner and I began working at Pet Health Center in March 2007 as a Client Relations Specialist. The daily interaction between our clients and their pets quickly made coming to work every day an experience that I always looked forward to. I graduated from the University of Memphis with a degree in Computer Science, and am currently working to finish my Masters in Special Education. This is much different than the previous career I had of owning a couple restaurants, but I knew almost immediately this is where I was supposed to be.
In April of 2010, I was given the opportunity to become Office Manager and work with such great people and fantastic clients on a daily basis. I am probably one of the few staff members who only have 1 pet. She is a feisty Yorkie named “Holly.” She has become more of a clinic dog rather than mine; therefore she has become quite spoiled with a mind of her own who only listens to whom she wants, when she wants. However, she is my heart and soul and makes every day that much better.
Cynthia Brown
Certified Veterinary Dental Technician
Nursing Zone Coordinator
Nursing Zone Coordinator
I am a Certified Veterinary Dental Technician and I also have a certification in Small Animal Veterinary Assisting. I have completed 3 out of 4 levels of coursework in pursuit of becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician and hope to finish soon. I have been married to my best friend since 1996. We have a teenage son, Alex who is active in his school's drumline and aspires to go to Air Force Academy. I have 2 dogs, 3 cats, and lots of hair to keep up with! They are worth the extra cleaning; I wouldn't trade them for the world. Sometimes I think I would enjoy a live-in housekeeper, though.
Joyce Gearhart
Client Relations Specialist
My name is Joyce and I joined Pet Health Center as a Client Relations Specialist in 2003 and love being part of the compassionate environment of caring for pets. The special bond and friendships with the dogs and cats we care for and their "parents" is very rewarding. Away from the clinic I enjoy traveling, camping, kayaking, and being outdoors! My husband and I are empty nesters and now share our life and home with “Tatum”, a Husky mix and “Sheriti”, a sweet and colorful cat.
Morgan Rinehart
Client Relations Specialist
My name is Morgan and I began working at Pet Health Center as a Client Relations Specialist in September 2008. I recently married my college sweetheart, Ben, in July 2011. I am enjoying married life with my husband and live with two Pomeranians, “Tux” and “Beau” whom keep us both quite entertained! I plan to attend nursing school in the future and ultimately hope to become a Nurse Anesthetist.
Krystle Boland
Nurse
My name is Krystle and I began working at Pet Health Center as an Animal Care Assistant in August 2006 and became a Nurse Assistant in January 2010. The love I have for animals is not limited to dogs or cats, but also includes reptiles such as snakes, lizards, and salamanders. I am blessed with a beautiful daughter who not only has a strong interest in animals, but also for her favorite pet lizard named “Toothless.”
Jessica King
Client Relations SpecialistZone Coordinator
My name is Jessica and I have always enjoyed meeting new people and keeping in touch with the ones whom I already know, as well as spending time with my husband and 2 dogs, “Angel” and “Peanut.” The opportunity was given to me to enjoy both at the same time when I began working at Pet Health Center in April 2010. My current position, Zone Coordinator for the Client Relations Specialists team, allows me to interact with people and their pets on a daily basis. In my spare time, I enjoy attending church and going on vacations with family and friends. I strive to do my best when approached with any circumstance which leads me to love life and joyously live.
Sara Zurenko
NurseWhen I turned 16 years old, I got a job as a veterinary assistant in a small animal clinic, and have been working with large and small animals ever since. I took a short break from Pet Health Center in the winter of 2010 to pursue another opportunity that life threw my way but quickly realized there was something missing. It was this amazing clinic! The team dynamic here is unbeatable and each employee cares so much about every person and animal that walks through the door. Working with animals and educating people on the care of their pets, brings me great joy and being a Nurse at Pet Health Center allows me to do what I love every day.
Jodie Walsh

I have lived on a farm all of my life and I have raised many different kinds of animals. I played basketball at Williams Baptist College and I graduated with a Bachelors degree of General Studies in Biology and Physical Education. I recently moved to Cordova, TN to start my career. I love being outdoors no matter what I'm doing.
Beth Dukes

After being a stay-at-home mom for 22 years raising three children, I decided to get back to outside employment. I started working at Pet Health Center July of 2011 and feel truly blessed to be here. At home, my furry family includes 2 horses, 2 dogs and 2 cats. I enjoy gardening, biking and long walks with my dogs.
